In Marblehead

I’m in Marblehead at the moment…the trip was uneventful and I have been very comfy here. The family is well; my brother’s new girlfriend seems very nice, which is a relief. Third time lucky, I say.

I went to the Sacred Mysteries at St. Michael’s here in Marblehead this morning. They had a Christmas Pageant instead of the readings and the sermon. Came off fairly well, but the kid in the pew behind me kept poking me in the back. Reminds me how much I love children…properly cooked.

We went to Outback for dinner last night. I managed to keep from having dessert but did have prime rib, which is something you really can’t get in London, AFAIK.

Going out to lunch tomorrow with the Secretary of Philanthropic Lodge, and dinner with my Luti friends here in Boston. Was supposed to be today, but we’ve rescheduled it. So, I’m at home with little to do…oh well, will watch US TV and marvel yet again at what TV has descended to here in the United States.

Peach, why didn’t you warn me you were wandering into New England? We might have intersected if I’d known.

Howsomever, enjoy your visit. US TV isn’t that bad; tonight I guess you get Desperate Housewives!

Sorry, I can’t remember where you are, exactly…New York? I know I’m being silly, of course. Also, I thought I mentioned I was travelling in my lj…so sorry on both counts. Anyway, if we have the .con in London I suppose we’ll meet, and I’m planning to return to Boston in April and maybe jaunt to New York, Chicago, and San Francisco as well…

I’ve gotten out of Desperate Housewives. HWMBO and I used to watch it religiously but somehow just got tired of it. I’ll probably turn in early today and just catch up on my jetlag.

Oh honeybun, I live in San Francisco, but my family is sprinkled around New England (Cambridge, and Maine) so I’m inclined to fly there at the drop of a hat. One brother used to have a house in Marblehead, so you always catch my eye. I have several zillion step-siblings and accordingly, something like 25 nieces and nephews in Maine and Massachusetts.

Oh, ok. I didn’t drop my hat this time, but I’ll ensure that I bring one especially to drop the next time I’m here. HWMBO will probably come with me too, so you’ll get two in one.

Off to shop soon!!! I can’t wait!!!

    When do you head back?

I’m heading back tomorrow morning 0815 EST. Will be back at home at around 9 pm GMT tomorrow. I got your Lever soap and may be able to get the Neutrogena stuff today. Hope you like ham for Christmas as that’s what we’re having.

    I wouldn’t like myself very much if I didn’t like ham! 😉

Is there anything you’d like me to bring or prepare?

Hm…u any good at desserts? I was going to make a squash pie but I don’t think I have the mental or physical energy to make a pie crust. Would prefer not to have Xmas pudding as it’s much too sweet. Other than that, bring yourself.
