Have you ever been to Barrow-on-Furness? (I have not.) I was wondering if, in fact, his perception of the place was accurate.
I’ve heard of it, but never been there.
It’s not THAT bad (barrow-IN-furness, btw) — mind you, I’ve not stayed overnight, so my view isn’t quite what someone who lives there would be. But I suspect the real problem is that this child is only 20, and doesn’t have a lot of experience of other venues; and this is basically an “eew yuk it’s not what I’m used to”. Silly narrow minded young git.
