I believe the reason I didn’t score higher is that I am not a programmer, but a lowly software tester. Obviously I need to take some programming courses and get up to speed.

Well, that’s all it took, given the category ranges.
I was also low-level. Ah well.
Many of the possible selections were inappropriate for me as they assumed the test-taker was either a student or part of the work force, while I’m retired. But then, for a geek to survive until able to retire is more about money-making ability and health than age.
