My birthday yesterday

I will post about Hell Week tonight, but I was a bit sad that no one remembered my birthday except HWMBO, and . Well, I got a bright idea and went to look at my profile, and while it said that everyone could see my birthday, it also said “don’t show it”. Faugh! I have now remedied that.

Anyway, I was 55 years old on November 8th. HWMBO and I celebrate with dinner tonight. More in my next post.

you didn’t read my comments on your Bollywood video post, then? I can’t initiate posts in your blog, so I commented in a birthday kinda way on the most recent entry you made – on November 8, the day itself. I figgered that making a reply on the 54 post you so kindly made on MY birthday would bury it too much in the past.

anyway, happy 55 again. we’re now back to the much more usual situation of you being a year older than moi.

It is Hell Week this week, and I have scads of unread mail, unread email, things I need to do that I haven’t been able to do, lots of guilt that I haven’t spent as much time with HWMBO as I should…I will try to catch up later tonight and early tomorrow morning, before Hell Week concludes with an all-day meeting of Diocesan Synod.

I believe that I did see the presence of a comment from you but hadn’t read it. Sorry; I should amend the post.

    Happy birthday.

I think you now qualify for the Senior rate at some museum in Chicago – at least that is the way it was at the Chicago motss.con in 1996.

I had wished you a happy birthday on the dreaded Facebook, but before that I had checked your LiveJournal profile to see whether or not you listed your birthday here — as you say above, at the time it was not listed — because I have the idea that if someone doesn’t list their birthday in their profile, they may not want it mentioned here, so I should hold off and watch to see if they or anyone else mentions it anyway. Regardless, have a great birthday dinner tonight!

so, is this a hint (along with your other post) that you want us to send you a Chippendale stripper to your place of employment next year with a strip-a-gram?

    (oh, wait — you’re safe, it’s a Saturday in 2008)

I’m so sorry I missed your birthday. Since leaving LJ I don’t have my little upcoming birthdays list. Still, a celebratory dinner with HWMBO, *grin*, sounds lovely.

I hope my thank you card made it across the pond. I haven’t sent anything to the UK in ages.

    Happy (Belated) Birthday!

Hope you had a great day!!!

  13. chrishansenhome says:

Thanks for the good wishes. Yes, your card did make it over here…it was my pleasure!

  14. chrishansenhome says:

Yes, I did, once I got over being exhausted. We went to a local Thai restaurant and had a very nice dinner.

  15. chrishansenhome says:

The stripper would have trouble getting through security.

I had no notification ‘coz you didn’t show it :-/

    Happy belated birthday though!

(I am also nearly a week behind in reading)

Thanks. I confused having my birthdate in my LJ profile with actually showing it to people.

My bad. LJ’s bad user interface. Together forever!

It’s apt to be a Diocesan Synod meeting day in 2008, so go ahead–send the Chippendale stripper. See if I care!
