Intern? does this mean they have to wear a navy-blue dress from GAP when going to the loo?

    enquiring minds need to know

Well, enquiring minds need to be a bit more explicit then, as I haven’t a clue as to what you are talking about. Does it have to do with hospitals and doctors?

one of the most famous interns in washington who got caught up in sexual hanky-panky with an elected official was ms monica lewinsky. i’m sure you’ve heard of her.

part of the evidence in that scandal was a navy blue dress from GAP [a retail emporium chain] which she was wearing when she gave mr clinton a blowjob, and apparently the dress got cum stains on it, which she (romantic child) decided not to have cleaned. that frock later became evidence for the kenneth starr witchhunt investigation.

google on “monica intern blue dress” and an host of informative webpages will be available.

hence my wondering if interns for senator tappy mcwidestance would have to be similarly attired when they went to the public loo, that apparently being the senator’s preferred venue for hanky-panky.

Oh, I see. Not having been actually present in the United States during the hijinks in question, the blue dress from GAP didn’t actually register with me as anything significant. I thought it had something to do with hospitals (interns, hospitals…)

And it’s Sen. TAPPER McWidestance. Just ask biiiig arnold.

I recall biiig arnold doing google searches on various phrases as one measure of their distribution. One I recall was phrases for a certain kind of men’s underwear: “tighty-whities” vs “tightie whities” vs “tidy whities” (and spellings as “whitey” as well).

following biiig arnold’s lead, I googled the spelling I used for the -er- honorable senator from idaho, and your preferred version.

“senator tappy mcwidestance” – 276 hits
“senator tapper mcwidestance” – 5 hits, 3 of which are from you.

not that I’m saying one spelling is right and the other is wrong, or that you should change. I think the senator deserves as much ridicule as possible, with whatever spelling desired by the person laughing and pointing. it’s one of those grass-roots things, where minor inconsistencies point to the wide spread of the sources, as opposed to a single source, which speaks more of a top-down movement.

“Tapper” sounds a bit more, grown-up, as befits his conduct (doing grown-up things in public places). It also has an air of 1950’s elegance (the sitcom “Topper” comes to mind). “Tappy” sounds like a cartoon dog or rabbit, kind of like “Thumper”.

I realise that “Tappy” is the more popular spelling, something to do with some silly sitcom over in North America, I understand (this from memory of an email exchange with biiiig arnold some months ago). But, I go against what is popular when I need to.
