Still thinking of renouncing US citizenship…

…but, thanks to the silly US Government, I got my $300 economic stimulus cheque this morning. This will stimulate the savings account (because that’s where I’m going to put it) but do nothing to stimulate the US economy.

I didn’t think they’d send money to expats who had to pay taxes, but this means that last year I made $245.00 from the US Government, the first time they’ve ever given me anything since 1994 when I moved to London for good.

Well, I can invest the US$300 with you, of course, but what dividend do I get? I have some suggestions… 😉

What has made you consider giving up your US citizenship?

I’ve made several posts on this subject. It boils down to simplifying my life. I intend to live in the UK for the rest of my life, so why keep a citizenship that’s no use to me?
