I’ve been happy with O2 and, I believe, FJ has, too. Fast connection and no limits on downloads.

O2 has been the best IP provider I have ever had anywhere. You do need to keep your BT line for it, though.

What is their speed (Derek mentioned speed)? I don’t mind keeping my BT line; I hardly use it now for much except local calls so that expense shouldn’t be much.

Since they install their own gear in the phone switch, they can go over BTs advertised speeds. Currently I am on the ‘up to 16 Mb/s’ plan, my modem says it has negotiated slightly over 15 Mb/s, DSL tests is claiming sustained 11 Mb/s which is the fastest I have ever had. Their install was better than BT activating my phone line, their tech was knowledgeable, they text me before they hit my Direct Debit. Only problem has been their DNSes recently falling over, so I switched my machine to OpenDNS.

You’ve convinced me. I’ll be calling them. Thanks for your feedback.
