The News Picture of the Year (Decade, maybe)

You’ll mostly be aware that a plane belly-flopped into the Hudson River today. According to CNN, everyone got out alive, thank goodness.

A picture was taken from one of the ferries that was picking up the passengers, and it is absolutely stunning.

Thanks to Twitter, many knew about the crash a few moments after it happened. This is what Twitter is about and if they can monetise that, it’ll be great.

And this is why I carry my passport & GC on my body even in the plane

I’ve just started doing this (well, not a GC, but my passports) and agree with you. Everything else can go to the briny deep.

You said it, kiddo. Should get “Picture of the Year” from some news organisation or other.
