A sighting

Our houseguest Chaz and I were chatting this noon when we looked out the window. Lo and behold, our urban fox was climbing up the back wall. He turned and looked at me for the longest time as I was trying to get my camera out, but disappeared into the neighbour’s back garden before I could take a picture.

Now we know what he’s doing during the daytime.

Hopefully he’ll eat some of the squ… oh, I’m probably not supposed to say that.

    “Pigeons” isn’t spelled with “squ”!

You do know about ‘s — and, more especially, HWMBO’s — little friend(s), don’t you?

Yeah, the little feller has climbed up my leg a few times. She’s an endearing little creature. Those blasted pigeons, on the other hand…

I think that the fox’s passage through the back garden has scared off the squirrels and even the pigeons. There’s nary a one here today and there weren’t any yesterday either.

Presumably once his scent has faded there will be a resurgence of the squirrel and pigeon presence.
