  • 08:01:17: @jonk The real problem with Chinatown in London is that it’s surrounded by Piccadilly Circus and the tourists are all over.
  • 08:09:13: @jonk I hate Central London tourists. I really do. Perhaps we could move them all to Ealing or Croydon so we can enjoy Piccadilly again.
  • 11:53:48: @jonk What one does here is get on the tourist bus so that you say you have seen everything, then go on day trips. Dover Castle is great!

    (1) I’m about to become a Central London tourist in just a couple of weeks, as close friends from the States are visiting.

    (2) Believe me, Chrome crashes. I have succeeded in crashing it on a few occasions. Perhaps not as often as FF, but it happens.

    1) I sentence you to go from here to a place of incarceration, and from there to the place of execution, where you shall be hanged by the neck until you are dead, and may God have mercy on your soul!

    2) Of course Chrome crashes. I know that. What I found is that Firefox crashes more often and more unpredictably than Chrome does. That’s why I switched, and so far I’m reasonably happy with it. YMMV, of course.

Well, no, I’ve made the same observation about Chrome. I only use it for a few things, though, because while what you say is true, I depend on so many of FF’s plugins which aren’t available for Chrome.

Both browsers (and Safari) are miles better than their ugly cousins from Redmond, though.

The only thing I don’t like about Chrome is the fact that you don’t have a bookmarks sidebar. Other than that, I’m satisfied. And I don’t use any of the FF plugins you use, as I’m not a developer. So, we can agree to disagree, I guess.

  5. spwebdesign says:

Yes, I suppose we could agree to disagree, but that would be a bit pointless since, unless I’ve missed something, we are essentially in agreement.
