…shocked, I tell you!
While shopping in the Elephant and Castle Tesco’s today I saw (wait for it) chocolate Easter eggs and Easter bunnies.
Jesus wept!

Jesus wept!
Wow! and I was shocked to see valentines prominently displayed at Target (or Tar-jay if you prefer)
That is quite shocking.
It reminded me – I noticed an ad on TV the other day offering people to start saving for “debt free” gifts for – Christmas 2009!
I suppose that when you’re poor or out of work, as many of our compatriots will be in 2009, it makes sense to put a few pence away each week toward presents at Christmas 2009. In the US this used to be called a Christmas Club, and every bank had one. They deducted a set amount of cash each week from your account and put it in a low-yield savings account. Then at the beginning of December, they added the money back to your checking account so you could go and spend it on prezzies. The club for each year started the week after New Year’s.
Ah, but had Jesus peept?
Luckily for, no Peeps are sold in the United Kingdom, to my knowledge. All these were chocolate only.
