I am relatively close to Kew Gardens. To get there from here, you would take the Tube to Kew Gardens Station, most probably. A faster but more circuitous route is to take a train from Waterloo to Kew Station and then a bus from there to Kew Gardens. I’ve only been there once, but it was indeed very nice and peaceful. It is far out of the center of town, though. Some of the Royal Parks like Hyde Park and St. James Park are also relatively tranquil and you might usefully spend a few days there too.

If you are coming to London don’t hesitate to get in touch. We have an extra bedroom and are not weirdos.
